The Westover Farmers Market is on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the summer (May-November) and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the winter (December-April). The market is at 1644 N. McKinley Rd. just north of Washington Blvd. We have around 30 great vendors selling fresh produce, herbs, cut flowers, grass fed meats, dairy products, baked goods, and other prepared foods.
In 2011, a group of like-minded neighbors got together with the same thought: how is it possible that a vibrant, walkable, eco-conscious, friendly community like Westover has been around for almost 70 years and never had its own farmers market? So we decided to do something about it. And we hope you’ll enjoy the fruits of our labor… and the actual fruit.
The most important things to know about the Westover Farmers Market is that it is local and producer-only. (Check out our thoughts on why you should eat locally-raised food.) Everyone who sells at the market grows, raises, bakes, cooks, or prepares everything themselves. And it is all done within 125 miles of Arlington County. That means when you shop at our market, you are not only getting the freshest, highest-quality food, you are also meeting the people who grow it and minimizing the amount of fuel that is burned to bring it to you.
*Parking in the lot behind the Westover shopping center is reserved for patrons of those shops.
