Number 1 Sons, purveyors of all things pickled, have been getting some good buzz lately – you can check out their profile in the Washington Times. After some time off this winter, hopefully tinkering with recipes for new krauts and kimchees, the Westover Farmers Market is pleased to welcome them back to the market beginning this Sunday, March 30. Come get your pickles, people.

Spring Hopes Eternal
Ok, so notwithstanding today’s weather, there have been relatively few signs that this infernal winter will finally give way to our well-deserved spring. A snowy St. Patrick’s day?! This means of course that the summer bounty we dream about will have to wait a bit longer yet. But in case you haven’t been down to the WFM lately, you’ve been missing out on a variety of fresh greens and root vegetables, fruits, jams and honeys, baked goods, meats, chocolates, and much much more. So if you need help giving the winter blues a good kick in the pants, come down to WFM tomorrow from 9-1 to stock up on the good stuff and commiserate with neighbors.
